Lira is the first chair designed by Scandinavian designer Daniel Rybakken for Alias. Its name reflects its form: two solid ash wood slats are anchored to long lacquered steel feet, while a cantilevered seat and a curved wooden backrest connect the slats. Lira features graphic contours and a recognizable design.

Rybakken aimed to create a minimalist, stackable chair with an iconic silhouette. The result is Lira, which combines a strong minimalist character with unexpected comfort, attributed to the deep curvature of the backrest.

The chair showcases a geometric silhouette balanced by the natural appearance of the materials. Lira is constructed from solid ash wood, with the seat and backrest crafted from curved ash, available in a natural finish or colored stains. The steel legs are lacquered in various colors, with options for textured or gloss finishes.

Lira's strong personality makes it suitable for dining rooms, offices, and various public spaces. The chair can be placed on tabletops for easier cleaning of the surrounding area.

While unique and innovative, Lira remains obvious and recognizable. The deep curvature of the backrest, along with the distinctive vertical bars, provides a high level of comfort and a striking presence, whether positioned alone or in repetition.
