Villa Omah Prana

Villa Omah Prana is a single, taut ring of timber-shingled roof dropped onto a jungle ridge north of Ubud. Alexis Dornier lets the 475 m² house behave like a wide-brimmed hat: the roof flares outward to shade a continuous veranda, then slopes gently inward to cradle a lush central courtyard, pulling light and air through the entire plan.

Inside, curved herringbone brick floors and teak ceilings guide barefoot circulation along the circle’s inevitable path. Every room pivots between the cool green eye of the courtyard and full-height slides that erase the boundary to the valley beyond. A crescent infinity pool slides under the outer eaves, stretching the perfect geometry into a liquid horizon.

One roof, one gesture, one breath: the villa dissolves into the forest through its shaggy shingle skin yet holds its ground with the quiet force of pure radial calm. Dornier distills the Balinese compound to its essence and returns it to the jungle as flawless, silent retreat.
