Caravista is a striking minimalist light fixture designed by the Madrid-based architectural practice Maximale, co-founded by Pablo Delgado and Cristina Garau. Drawing inspiration from brick—one of the most fundamental components of construction—the duo has ingeniously transformed this material into a captivating lighting object.

Handcrafted locally, Caravista consists of two ceramic pieces expertly joined with mortar, featuring a delicate paper filter that softens the light as it emanates through eight openings on each side of the brick. This design not only highlights the beauty of the raw material but also showcases the studio's commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship.

As Maximale's inaugural venture into product design, Caravista is distinguished by its modular nature. The geometry of the brick allows for a variety of flexible configurations, offering options with different numbers of openings and a spectrum of color choices. This adaptability gives rise to diverse typologies, including table, wall, and portable versions, each of which integrates seamlessly into various interior settings.

The name "Caravista" pays homage to a specific type of brick commonly employed in unclad façades, celebrating the beauty of honest and unrefined materials. With this design, Maximale brings its unique architectural sensibility into the realm of lighting, creating a lamp that radiates warmth and a playful atmosphere while enriching the spaces it occupies.
